Preparing for your feeding journey starts before baby arrives. This 2-hour, in-person class is designed to give expecting parents the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools they need to feel more prepared for those early days and weeks with their newborn.
Led by Certified Lactation Educator and Herd Co-Owner, Tina Agostinelli, this hands-on class goes beyond the basics and focuses on the real-life skills that help you feel confident navigating feeding your baby.
Together, we’ll cover:
Comfortable feeding positions and techniques to support both baby and parent
Breastfeeding basics, including what to expect in the early days
What you truly need (and what you can skip!) when preparing for your feeding journey
Pump basics and helpful supplies
Simple troubleshooting strategies for common feeding challenges
Real-life tips and guidance to help you feel informed and supported
You’ll leave with practical resources, easy-to-reference handouts, and a better understanding of how to approach your feeding journey — whether you plan to breastfeed, pump, combo feed, or simply want to feel more prepared before baby arrives.
Partners are highly encouraged to attend! Your partner plays an important role in your feeding journey, and understanding the basics can help them feel empowered to support you every step of the way.
A superbill will be provided for submission to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider for eligibility.
