A Full Circle Moment of Community, Growth & Gratitude

This May was nothing short of extraordinary. We were honored to be featured on CBS News Boston in their Small Business Spotlight on Mother’s Day Weekend. We were also highlighted in a podcast episode created by a MassLive Media reporter fellow, who chose to explore maternal mental health for her master’s degree.

To be recognized across both TV and podcast platforms during this season of celebration is a powerful reminder of why we do this work. We’re incredibly moved by the growing awareness around postpartum support and feel truly honored to be part of this essential conversation.

Both of these stories help amplify our mission—and the timing couldn’t have been more meaningful, as we marked one year in business and six months in our Holliston brick-and-mortar space. To say it felt like a full-circle moment would be an understatement.

💕One Year of Holding Space and Building Community

When The Herd began, our mission was clear: to offer a safe, welcoming, judgement-free space for mothers and their families during the postpartum period and beyond. We recognized a gap—an aching need for deeper support, real connection, and non-judgmental conversation around the realities of motherhood.

What humbles us daily is the way this vision has been met—with open arms and a shared commitment from a community that believes in care, connection, and collective support. In just one year, what started as a dream has blossomed into a growing movement fueled by compassion, strength, and solidarity.

Our CBS News feature was more than just a spotlight on our services—it was a reflection of all of you. Of every person who’s walked through our doors and shared in this journey. Watching the story air and seeing familiar faces, warm moments, and honest testimonies about the postpartum experience reminded us that this isn’t just our story—it’s yours, too.

That same spirit came through in the podcast episode, where not only was The Herd’s mission highlighted, but a Herd member also shared her personal postpartum journey, bringing a powerful voice to the very heart of why this work matters. These stories don’t just represent us—they represent a growing, supportive community that’s rewriting what postpartum care can look like.

Every milestone we’ve reached—each class filled, circle held, and coffee shared—has been possible because of the community that surrounds us. You’ve invited us into your lives, trusted us during your most vulnerable moments, and cheered us on every step of the way.

❤️To the parents who show up tired and leave seen and supported—thank you.

❤️To the grandparents who peek in with curiosity and warmth—thank you.

❤️To the babies & toddlers who roam our space with fearless joy—thank you.

❤️And to the specialists, educators, and fellow caregivers who lend your talents and hearts to our work—thank you.

Saying we’re grateful doesn’t quite capture the depth of what we feel. We are humbled, moved, and uplifted by this community every single day.

As we reflect on this year, we are reminded why we started The Herd in the first place. To change the conversation around postpartum care. To bring visibility to the invisible labor of motherhood. To celebrate the highs, hold space for the lows, and support one another through it all.

We are honored to walk alongside you on this journey—and we’re just getting started!
